Garden Opera performing at Goodnestone
on a summer evening
During recent years Goodnestone has been the setting for a number of spectacular events, including fireworks in aid of charity, opera, and various concerts classical, jazz and rock. The village fete is held in the gardens every July. There are usually two to three plant sales each year, with renowned Kent nurseries taking part.

Snowdrop & Hellebore Extravaganza
Gardens open with visiting nurseries Plant Show and Sale in association with Kent Branch of the Hardy Plant Society.
At noon talk by Val Bourne. Refreshments. Ample Parking
Admittance: 11 am - 4 pm £5.00 adult, £4.50 concessions, £4.50 HPS members.

WOODLAND GARDEN This course will look to the Goodnestone spring garden for its subjects; early magnolias, blossom, bulbs or spring perennials

EARLY SUMMER BORDERS We can study roses, peonies, and the mixed border, or choose climbers such as clematis or wisteria
All courses are suitable for beginners to Botanical Art, as well as for students with more experience. Classes are very small and give a very thorough grounding in good observational drawing and watercolour techniques.
Hazel West-Sherring is a professional Botanical Artist, who is known for her classic portraits of English garden fruits and flowers, portrayed in watercolour as traditional botanical plates. Hazel is an RHS Gold medallist. To book and for more information call 01304 812654.

William Plumptre exhibition in house
William Plumptre is an established potter, who was born and raised at Goodnestone Park. His home and studio workshop is in an idyllic Lakeland setting in Cumbria. Inspired by the Landscape and influenced by Japanese pottery traditions, he makes elegant, decorative stoneware often faceted with Japanese style brushwork.

Annual performance by the popular travelling opera company held in Goodnestone Park Gardens.
